I switched into a lighter leather jacket this week and people keep asking me where this one is from. My other jackets seldom raise a glance, let alone a mention.
It is a Kenza collaboration with Jofama and is an update of the earlier Kenza 3. The model is called Jofama by Kenza 9 and it comes in black and red. I have a black one and it has a plain red lining overlain with with black rose lace.
The leather is thick and durable but still light and soft. This means you can easily fold it and put it in a bag, or carry it over your arm which is good for autumn and spring. My other one is so heavy when you take it off and carry it.
Other than this one, the other leather jacket I wear a lot is this one but it is 20 years old now and starting to show its age. It definitely needs to be relined as the lining is almost completely worn away. It by Leather Rat and comes from South Molton Street, London.
This is a gorgeous jacket of fantastically high quality leather. The only problem that I have with it is that the sleeves are not quite long enough if I stretch my arms out. It is not a problem except when it is cold, and then it causes a gap between my gloves and the jacket and I get uncomfortably cold.
Here is another view of it. Pardon the facial expression, I look like an idiot! But I still like that skirt, which came from Zara. I used to swim competitively – long distance butterfly (50m to 400m as well as long distance medley relays) so my shoulders are enormous! It always looks like I have forgotten to take the hanger out of my jackets.
