One of the things that is both good and bad about my job is that I sometimes have gaps between meetings, where I can either pop into a coffee shop to sit and work, or wander around. I try to not carry my laptop with me due to back problems, so it tends to be wandering around. This allows me to see parts of the city I would not normally visit.
I loved this little fridge magnet. Cinnamon buns are so Swedish. I may get one or two as gifts for my family in South Africa. Things like this are not too touristy and are light and small.
I know this makes me sound ancient, but why don’t they just put the store opening hours on the sign?
This car was rather unusual but I only noticed once I had passed it that it was shaded.
This is one of several ‘Wheat Cat’ restaurants around town. They all have cat-related baked or wheat items in their windows. This one is literally a wheat cat!
I have a student who has a Uniqlo x Marimekko dress like this which is a few years old. It looks absolutely stunning on her and she says people often comment on it. This is a new colour way. It also comes in cream and navy blue.
I spend quite a bit of time in this underground station. It is actually fiery orange, but for some reason my camera did not capture it well in this photograph

It’s a bit early for Christmas for me, but this ‘tree’ looked rather cosy and non-traditional. It must be pretty when the lights are on, particularly now that the clocks have gone back and it is dark before 4pm.
Mollie and Catrick are way more cuddly now that it is colder and the central heating is not yet on.
A rather grey view of home
Soon I will be in this type of weather in South Africa. When this photograph was taken, the temperature was 46°C/114,8°F. I don’t often wear a swimsuit, or even swim anymore but it was too hot not to.
