In my recent What’s In My Bag post, you can see that I have changed from a telephone wallet to a credit card holder.
I used to use my planner as a wallet. This is my black pocket/junior Touch me.
Over time, Sweden moved away from cash and store club cards, meaning I did not need a regular wallet. I put my few cards in my phone wallet and that worked well for a while.
This year, however, I have been forgetting my phone at home quite frequently. I tend to work at home in the morning and out in the field in the afternoons. In my rush my phone often ends up under a pile of papers on my desk and I end up at the subway station with no card, no money, and no phone.
My solution has been separating my phone and my cards. This means that if I forget my phone at home I can still get to work and pay for things. My calendar is a paper one so I can make bookings as well.
I battled to find a suitable credit card holder, and finally settled for a Bolinder Stockholm one. It only holds four cards. It holds my travel card, my driver’s licence, my debit card and a credit card. I have a couple of other cards that do not fit and have to go into another pocket of my bag.
I love the Van Der Spek Touch Me range. The covers are so well designed. I used personal and pocket sizes as wallets for years. I kind of miss my multipurpose binders so I was delighted when new Touch Me items were introduced – wallets and credit card holders.
They come in a number of colours but I chose trusty black. Buffalo leather like this wears like iron. I am thrilled that it has a total of six slots and a central zipper.
I use all 6 slots, and am carrying some cash money in the central compartment. Sweden is not a cash country but sometimes it is nice to have some physical money – buying an ice cream at a kiosk or an item at a flea market is often easier with cash than e-transfer.
This credit card holder would gallantly cope with being in trouser pockets and tumbled around in a handbag. Find more information here

It feels really nice – tough and durable.
