A day…

I saw someone taking their food trolley down the ramp today. These stroller ramps are really useful if you know how to use them.

I was wearing my KAVAT Bödås 2.0 boots for the first time this winter. I usually wear Deichmann footwear as it is well-priced, fits me perfectly, and never leaks. But these were 70% off at a going-out-of business sale last year so I decided to upgrade, big time. KAVAT is a Swedish brand that is very popular so when the only pair left were in my size, I pounced. I wear Chelsea boots about 9 months of the year due to weather, so it is nice to have some fancy ones I would never normally be able to afford. I never used to pay much attention to footwear, but living in such a cold, wet climate means having good quality outerwear. Swedes say ‘there is no bad weather, just bad clothes’

I have also been curious about these hair bands for a while. There are always loads of people around this display stand but I can’t say I have ever noticed any in anyone’s hair while out and about.

Swedish saffron buns, which appear around Christmas every year, are normally a swirly shape. This year though there is another version for November, prostate cancer month. There are witty puns in Swedish (are all puns witty?) that don’t translate well, but I think it’s a good campaign.

Some posters look like this

I love passing this little cobbler’s shop in the Old Town. It always reminds me of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, The Elves and the Shoemaker
